ABOUT THE ARTWORK
This piece is about memorializing what was while welcoming a new chapter. I tried to achieve this by using almost exclusively found objects from the flood rubble, the mixed media elements were all recovered from the River Arts District & the new painting was created using paints found in the debris. It’s a time stamp of what we we’ve all been through as artists but also showing we will continue forward.
