ABOUT THE ARTWORK
Something quite magical happened after Hurricane Helene ripped through our mountains and hearts. An underlying unity within our communities was laid bare, a strength in togetherness that was familiar, rooted somewhere in our humanity, maybe our genetic code. Selfless acts of service and love reigned supreme as we lifted each other up out of the waters. We learned just how strong us mountain folk can be, and we are forever changed by the flood that made us rise.
